Protect Your Roofline With Quality Soffits, Fascias & Gutters
Most homeowners only look up when something goes wrong. A soffit rots through. A gutter overflows in a storm. Paint starts peeling off the fascia board. By then the water damage has usually been working away quietly for months, saturating the timber behind, creeping into wall cavities and sometimes finding its way inside.
Your roofline does a huge amount of unsung work. The fascia carries the gutter and closes off the rafter ends. The soffit bridges the gap between the wall and the fascia while allowing the roof void to breathe. The guttering collects and carries rainwater safely away from the walls and foundations. When any part of that system fails, everything around it starts to suffer.
We’ve been replacing, repairing and upgrading rooflines for over twenty years. We work in maintenance-free uPVC from trusted UK suppliers, match colours and profiles to suit every style of property, and leave every job looking as crisp as the day a brand new house is handed over.
Why Your Soffits, Fascias & Gutters Matter
Over timber fascias rot, split, warp and start shedding paint every couple of years. We strip the old timber off, inspect the rafter feet behind, replace any damaged ends, and fit maintenance-free uPVC fascia board in your choice of white, black, woodgrain, rosewood or grey. Secured on stainless steel fixings so nothing shows, nothing rusts, and the guttering above sits on something solid.
Rotten soffits are one of the most common sources of hidden damage, because by the time they look bad from the ground they've usually been wet for years. We replace with vented uPVC soffit boards to current Building Regulations, which allow the roof void to breathe properly and prevent condensation damage to rafters and insulation inside. Flat or tongue-and-groove profile to suit the property.
Full gutter replacement in matching uPVC, sized correctly for your roof area and rainfall figures. Options include half-round, ogee, square line and deepflow profiles, available in colour matches to your fascias. We always fit on proper clip brackets at correct spacings, with a sensible fall to the downpipe so water actually gets where it's meant to go.
Sagging gutters, leaking joints, sections pulling away from the fascia, rainwater spilling over the front in heavy weather. Most gutter problems are fixable without replacing the whole run. We realign, re-bracket, re-seal or swap individual sections as needed, and tell you honestly if the existing system has simply reached the end of its life.
Blocked gutters cause a lot more damage than most homeowners realise. Moss, leaves, tennis balls, pigeon nests and general grit build up quietly until water overflows down the external walls or backs up under the tiles. We offer one-off gutter clearing and can book in regular seasonal maintenance for homes on tree-lined roads or properties with particularly high parapets.
Bargeboards run along the gable ends where a pitched roof meets the wall below, closing off the rafter ends and finishing the roofline visually. Old timber bargeboards split, rot and peel paint just like fascias. We replace in uPVC to match your fascia and soffit choice, so every straight edge on your house ends up crisp, square and low-maintenance.

Fix It Once, Forget It for Twenty Years
The best thing about a full uPVC roofline is that once it’s done, it’s done. No more repainting every few years, no more rotting wood, no more sagging sections pulling the whole look down. We fit everything properly, first time, so your roofline carries on doing its job quietly for decades without asking for attention.
Get in touch for a free, no-obligation survey. We’ll come out when it suits you, assess what’s actually needed and give you a written quote covering materials, colours and scope.
Backed in Writing From Day One
Every roofline job we do comes with proper protection built in:
You'll get a written guarantee specific to the work carried out. Full roofline replacements carry substantial workmanship cover, and we'll tell you the exact terms before any work starts.
As members of the Confederation of Roofing Contractors, our guarantees are underwritten by the scheme. If for any reason MGP Roofing couldn't honour it, the insurer steps in. That's cover most roofline firms simply don't have.
Every job, no matter the size, is covered by our £10 million public liability insurance. Your property, your neighbours and anyone in the vicinity are fully protected from the moment we arrive on site to the moment we pack up.

Frequently Asked Questions
The questions homeowners ask us most often about soffits, fascias and guttering. If yours isn’t covered, give us a ring on 07304 092761 and we’ll talk it through properly.
Common warning signs are flaking or blistering paint, visible rot or soft spots in the timber, sagging gutters because the fascia behind them is failing, stained sections where water has been tracking down, and evidence of birds or rodents getting into the roof void through damaged soffit gaps. If any of those sound familiar, it's worth booking a free survey before the damage spreads.
The fascia is the vertical board that runs horizontally along the edge of the roof where the rafter ends finish, and it's what the guttering is screwed onto. The soffit is the horizontal board underneath the fascia, covering the gap between the wall and the fascia and usually vented to let the roof breathe. The bargeboard is the diagonal equivalent that runs along the gable ends where the roof slope meets the gable wall. All three are separate components that work together.
You can stay with timber if you prefer, and we'll quote for that if requested, but honestly we wouldn't recommend it for most homeowners. Modern uPVC looks great, comes in a range of colours and woodgrain finishes, needs no painting and lasts decades longer than timber in the British climate. For period or listed properties where uPVC isn't appropriate, we can advise on timber alternatives.
Yes. uPVC rainwater systems come in a wide range of colours including white, black, grey, brown, rosewood and various woodgrain finishes. We'll match the guttering, downpipes, fascias and soffits to each other so the whole roofline looks cohesive.
For most homes, once a year is plenty, usually in autumn once the leaves have come down. Properties surrounded by trees, or houses with overhanging branches, may benefit from twice-yearly cleaning. If water is overflowing the front of the gutter rather than running to the downpipe, that's a sign it's well overdue.
Access arrangements depend on the height and layout of your property. For most standard two-storey houses we can work from access equipment without full scaffolding, which keeps costs down. For taller, more complex or extensively gabled properties, proper scaffolding is sometimes needed for safety and quality reasons. We'll confirm access requirements at the free survey stage so there are no surprises in the quote.
Yes. £10 million public liability insurance covers every job we do, whether it's a single gutter repair or a full roofline replacement. A copy of the certificate can be provided with your quote.
